The route, day by day

Day 1

Munsyari to Khaliya Top

Climb from the Munsyari side to the high meadow camp at Khaliya Top.

Day 2

Khaliya Top to Dharamgarh

Traverse shepherd trails and ridges before descending towards Dharamgarh.

Day 3

Dharamgarh to Thalthok

Climb through a little-used route to the Thalthok camp.

Day 4

Thalthok to Sudamkhan

Follow the Ranthang ridge with views towards the Ramganga and Johar valleys.

Day 5

Sudamkhan to Hiramani Glacier

Trek to the margins of Hiramani Glacier for a high-altitude camp.

Day 6

Namik Glacier excursion

Visit Namik Glacier and return towards Sudamkhan after the glacier excursion.

Day 7

Sudamkhan to Namik Village

Descend to Namik village and its traditional mountain settlement.

Day 8

Namik Village – Gogina – Bageshwar

Trek to the Gogina roadhead and drive to Bageshwar.

Day 9

Departure from Bageshwar

Breakfast and onward travel.
